Alright, alot of futzing around I've figured out my rewire problem...the virtual midi ports are not showing up in the midi bus in the rewire filter box, so I'm unable to send my midi to where it needs to go..I can send it directly to gigastudio and that works fine...I need the virtual ports to show up because it has to take a little detour before it gets to gigastudio...Jules, Beno, anyone? help! I'm not going to Cubase!!!
edit: I can do what I want without using rewire, however I can't get the audio from giga back into tracktion (well I can with the delta mixer but it gets all feedbacky) would there be a way to get the audio back in with a rack somehow? thanks.

Having neither Giga nor a current ReWire device handy, I'm not quite sure whose virtual MIDI ports you're talking about. However, I recently installed the Maple virtual MIDI cable, and those ports show up in Tracktions output device list without problem. ('Course, they also have to be enabled in the Settings "MIDI Device" tab first.)

yes they all show up in the midi devices and are enabled...the place they're NOT showing up is in the rewire filter midi bus. which in order for rewire to work correctly for this, they need to be. I'm figuring it out slowly...just hoping someone knows why they aren't showing up in the rewire filter midi bus....
