Copying / selecting points on automation?

nope.
copying / moving automation has been an oft-cited request i'm afraid. e.g. you decide your intro needs a few more bars, or you want to put in another middle 8. You shift all the tracks over, and have to redo all the automation (unless you render it first).

sorry, but that's wrong - the automation doesn't move automatically with the clips so you have to cut and paste it manually and that can get really tiresome but to say moving automation isn't possible at all is just plain wrong...Samosa wrote:nope.

There is a function to move the curves ('displace curve' if you select it) and to scale them. You can also select to move only the part between the markers. Couldn't that help you out?
if not, sorry, than it's me misunderstanding the question...

sigh... from the Tracktion helpfile:
(the helpfile that appears when you click on the 'help'-button within Tracktion)
(took me about 7-8 seconds to find it in the helpfile)
(the helpfile that appears when you click on the 'help'-button within Tracktion)
Code: Select all
Sections of automation curves can be copied/pasted around. To copy a section of a curve to the clipboard:
* select the curve
* position the in/out markers around the section you want to copy
* press ctrl-c or click the 'copy to clipboard' button in the properties panel.
..and then to paste this into a curve:
* select the curve you want to paste into (which may be different)
* position the cursor where you want the pasted section to go
* press ctrl-v
There is also an option in the properties panel to paste a section of curve so that it gets stretched to fit between the in and out mark- KVRAF

Anyways even without draggable automation I still find automation way easier to use than in Cubase. But I'm sure T2 will do something about this.
