I have an Evolution Mk449 which has 10 sliders and 10 rotary controllers.
Is there a way to assign them to controls in the automatable track parameters or is this going to be a T2 thing?
Thanks Guys.
Dave

probably a T2 thing. Jules has said no more updates for T1, so fingers crossed.

Well with all the fuss about the freebie Tracktion I guess T2 is going to be pretty awsome or else people will just stick with T1 and not upgrade. If someone of my level of incompetence is wanting stuff then I am sure guys like yourself will have spotted the weaknesses long ago and asked Jules already.

I'd imagine that the user's desire to upgrade will be a function of either how much they need any new features, or how long they have owned Tracktion. People who bought Tracktion within the last six months, and for whom Tracktion2 brings little of interest will likely stay put for a while. Thos who have owned and used Tracktion for more than a year will be more likely to make the switch irrespective of features.

Whether T2 will be awesome, or a stable base on which to build an awesome sequencer remains to be seen. As has been said in one too many threads of late, it's all idle speculation at this point. Hopefully Mackie will start feeding us tidbits soon though. :)

Yeah the list of widely desired features is huge, and has been posted in some form or another many many times. I'd love to see all those features in T2, but common sense tells me that is never going to happen[1]. ;)

[1] quite apart from the practical question of how much code one man can churn out, what would that leave for T3? ;)

I bought it a few months ago and as a registered user I will be expecting T2 to be a free upgrade. I think there will be a lot of people pissed if we have to pay to upgrade when Mackie are giving it to anyone who goes to their site.

I dunno what (if any) deals will be offered to recent purchasers. The upgrade deal for long, and medium time users is well known though, and really very reasonable.

Even if people who bought the software within a month of T2's release get charged full upgrade fee, they'll still be better off than if they had waited for T2 though, so no-one is getting ripped off!
