Hi,
Can someone please help me out?
Whenever I record a second track in Tracktion, it always 'mixes down' the first track onto the second when recording the second track (if you see what I mean!?!). The only way I can stop this from happening is by switching off the first track, but then I can't hear it to play along to!!
I need to monitor the first track only while recording the second.
I've tried various input/output configurations but it still does it.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to keep each track separate?
Many thanks.
Regards,

what soundcard? what drivers? what input are you recording?
sounds like you are recording a signal which includes the main outputs.. need more info to help.

possibly you simply need to move your "input" source to a new track....(dont record over old track)?
