Just wanted to say "Thanks" to Jules for creating this amazing app, at such a low cost - and to invite others to do the same. It's truly inspirational to see an application for audio that actually works, is fast, and is (! for f*cks sake!) user-friendly for once ! On a personal level, I've been looking for something to fill the void in my heart after Logic defected to Apple (actually Logic wasn't that great in the first place - in fact, it was horrible. Why am I even typing this?). I've used CEP, logic, pro tools, and cubase SX- cubase sx came closest to the goal, but the user-interface was lacking and obtuse - in fact, the user interfaces for all of the above are complete sh*te. (no offence, digidesign-give me a free system?)
I'd found Tracktion v1.0 in EQ magazine a year or two ago, but had forgotten the name and couldn't find the article - then I stumbled across a mackie demo cd, looked it up on the net, downloaded it, et Voila!
My void is filled (will pure digital goodness). Thanks Jules - now it's your turn-

I, too, want to thank Jules for creating a great product. I have owned a small/mid-sized recording business for the last 4 years and have very recently decided to persue other things due to the vast number of small studios doing full records for $1000 (ugh). I have used Pro Tools the entire time because, well, you're just supposed to! My real passion is songwriting so I am selling nearly everything and putting together a small songwriter setup. I was sure that I was going to get the Emu 1820m and Sonar Producer edition until I tried the free d/l of Tracktion through Tape Op. Man was I surprised! Granted it is WAY different than Pro Tools, but after one 15 minute session I had pretty much all of the basics figured out. Amazing! Track freezing, unlimited tracks, unlimited inserts, custom track sizes - what more could you want to write songs with? I ended up with the Emu 1212m and a TC Powercore Element, so for $540 I have a 12 i/o system with kick-butt converters and card-based plug-in processing (both on the Emu and the Powercore). Plus, hundreds of free VST's living everywhere around me - I love it! Goodbye Pro Tools and hello Tracktion. Thanks again Jules!

BTW - I'm telling everybody...

Tim

Yes, big thumb up Jules. Thanks not only for making this intuitive and powerfull app, but also for releasing it at a price that a normal working man can afford.

YOU SUCK JULES!!!!

:hihi:
Just kidding. Tracktion is the only host I use and probably will ever use. The setup is just so intuitive, and you can expect that I'll be a customer for T2.

Jules Rules! :hihi:

I keep trying other sequencers out, but nothing fits me as well as Tracktion. T2 will take care of a couple of my complaints with MMC and step sequencing, so I'm a pretty happy camper! :D

Thanks for Tracktion, Jules! :hihi:

Like everyone else said... This program is great. It's a program that just works. Intuative, easy to use, light on system resources, high quality sound, ...and the list goes on.
