Just wondering what you guys are hoping for this last run?

Im hoping for:

Batch per track exports (exporting 1 track a time to .wav)

Sample Auditioning on any file load

Thats about it! Im going to be so happy when t2 comes out!

Your t2 feature hopes?

I hope T2 comes with a rpc9943 spam blocker.

Just playin Ron.

Anyways, out of all the announced features so far, I'm only looking forward to 2 of them. First the improved midi editor, and then the show/hide filters option. Everything else is :| to me.
I would love to see some type of track management, and loop recording, and improved time-stretch algo.

1) Loop recording -preferably as in old cubase (lanes thing)

2) Grid for audio tracks

3) ditto batch export (selectable between current state of the track and raw version - no pan and volume slider at 0db)

1) better timestretch.

2) way to make 'unique' copies of sections of audio clips in the arrange window ('create new file from selection' type thing, without having to render).

3) 'render and replace selection' function (to prevent having to go to the project window to grab exported audio).

4)

5) new groove quantize system that enables positioning of audio clips as well as midi notes.

6) option to automatically microramp or use zerocrossings at the start and end of audioclips to prevent clicks.

You can already do this.

- better timestretch/pitchshift
- 'off line' plugin processing on clips or multiple selections of clips with off line automation too
- clip based real time automation
- curve tools for midi/automation
- groove quantize for audio/midi
- auto declick for start/end of audio clips
- reverse audio clip (non destructive)
- flexible freezing system (to apply further filters to freezed tracks then refreeze them..a kind of multiple level freezing)
- 'real copies' for audio clips without the need to render them.
- mouse gestures mappings

10 more :P
...or have we to wait for T3 ? :D

nope...only destructively...
i think cbit talk about not-destructive reverse

Post

destructive reverse would be fine combined with a quick way to make real copies of parts of clips and a reverse option in a context menu (all in the arrange window). for me.

Post

yeah either a non-destructive reverse or at least a macro that does all the steps for you. currently you have to either:

copy the file
reverse the copy (in the project window)
paste the new copy onto the arrange

or

render that section
reverse that file (in the project window)

a non-destructive reverse would be super!!
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

I'd like everything already listed, plus a helicopter tool.

Post

1. acid style bpm matching
2. independent wav editor
3. ditching clips for Cool Edit style audio editing
4. a coupe cool free plug ins

Post

I personally am not hoping for cooledit editing. Thats a whole other ballpark, maybe itd be neat if it had small features like it but I already own audition and it suits me juuuus fine ;)

I mean why dont you guys just get some cheapo external editor for work?

Tracktion would become a far lesser program if it ditched clips. It would not be tracktion any more, and would be a terrible 'feature' to 'add'.

i'm not sure who you meanb by 'you guys'.. but i'll answer anyway. Having certain basic audio editing functions accessable from tracktion's arrange window would make a HUGE difference to the way i work. it's to do with streamlining workflow.
