Hi,

I recently download the full Tracktion from Mackie and got a license for my copy. The thing worked perfectly until I had to install SP1 over my old windows xp. Many things changed, as no longer my old machine id was the same. My copy seemed as not registered anymore.

No problem I thought, logged into my mackie to change my license only to find that my machine code is invalid (this is the new machine code 1BA82B9) because it has only 7 digits :(

What can I do... I uninstalled the program and installed it back... no luck same id... :(

Please any help will be highly appreciated

Did you enter your *NEW* machine id before requesting the keyfile?

If you aren't doing it too often, you can simply enter the new id and get the new key.

Also, you get to install Tracktion on 2 machines (you do if you bought it anyway..?) so even if you can't change your first id yet, you should be able to enter your new one as your second machine id..

Aah, just actually read your post properly..

If you're absolutely sure your number won't fit its a question for Beno or Jules.. if neither pops up on this thread it may be worth contacting them directly..

Double then tripple check that you entered in the machine number directly. I would completely shutdown and restart your machine and then double check that Tracktion didn't change the machine number again on you. I've seen it happen before. If your still not having any luck, contact Mackie tech support by email or by phone. Jules or I can't do anything for you from the UK. It needs someone in woodinville to sort it out.

Thanks for the help guys but it seems that the reboot didn't make any difference machine id still remains the same, I will send Mackie an email about this issue. I hope they have the solution for this because formating my DAW partition and reinstall every single program and plugin is just a damn boring procedure and I would like to avoid it.

Thanks again.

"Cold and wet" is a persistent drizzle accompanied by a cool north-easterly wind, with a chance of drizzle later, maybe until evening when the drizzle will slowly turn to more drizzle.

The Calmuet region is, well you know what the region is... :(

Although it has certainly been wet here of late: I've spent most of the last year wondering if we were going to get flooded, 'cos that damn river keeps getting awfully high. :o
