Chord MIDI FX for Tracktion?

I recently downloaded the excellent Chordworx plug in which takes MIDI input and transmits it to virtual instruments to form chords. However, I am finding that Chordworx goes a bit hayware and changes preset chords quite regularly in Tracktion.
Does anyone know of any similar plug ins that work in Tracktion that can be placed before any VSTi's in the chain?

Tobybear has a 'chorder' plugin in his MidiBag that you could try - or for a very low price you could check out EnergyXT - you'll get a 'chorder' plus a whole bunch of other toysaudiobot202 wrote:I recently downloaded the excellent Chordworx plug in which takes MIDI input and transmits it to virtual instruments to form chords. It *does* sound like a clip has a program change attached to it.topaz wrote:it should not do this, try filtering out programme changes ? im sure tracktion must do this.
audiobot, there is an option to remove program changes from clips, try doing it on all of your clips on that track.
otherwise do as Mod suggests and try MChord -- it's too stupid to even care about program changes...

I did try this and while it did seem to work and locked Chordworx to one chord transmission, it did also mean that I could not record any changes using the VSTi as it had removed all program changes. It seems like a bugger of a workaround really.valley wrote:It *does* sound like a clip has a program change attached to it.topaz wrote:it should not do this, try filtering out programme changes ? im sure tracktion must do this.

Mchord was fine though, even if the UI is not great.
I prefer Chordworx though as it contains presets and many more chords. There doesn't seem to be any way to make chords in Mchord.
I had tried Chordator by Tobybear and found the options lacking in terms of presets...and from memory it did not perform well with certain plugins..

try using it inside energyXT, it makes using MidiVST plugins so much easier.

you might want to keep your eyes peeled for ChordSpace. It's not around yet, and from what i've seen it doesn't take midi input, but it does make beautiful chords for you with no effort at all.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.
