Splitting stereo wave file into 2 tracks?

Can Tracktion split a stereo .wav file into 2 separate tracks? Left to track 1; right to track 2. If so, how do you do it? If not, can you recommend something free?

I have a .wav with bass on the left, piano on the right, and drums on both. I want to keep the piano/drums and ditch the bass.

select an audio clip, and look at th propertioes at the bottom. The left and right buttons allow you to disable channels.
