I need to get some loop-based stuff done in T now, and of course there's no indication whether T2 handles it all better anyway.
Is there a VST that I can drop drum loops into that will timestretch them to project tempo? Preferably something inexpensive.
Thanks,
Gwydi

Phatmatik pro does that, I don't know if it qualify as inexpensive though.

I'd just pick up Acid xpress and use it to convert loops to your tempo.Gwydi wrote:I need to get some loop-based stuff done in T now, and of course there's no indication whether T2 handles it all better anyway.

is it? i don't remember, it might only support wma though.Lunch Money wrote:Isn't Acid Xpress super-limited for audio resolution? I can't remember what it was, but it seemed to me that there was some sort of severe limitation on the audio quality you could work with.

I recently downloaded Acid Express and I really like how it handles Beta Monkey drum loops. I really wish Tracktion could work like that.
Price Grabber shows Acid Music Studio 5 for as low as US$52.60. The most I've seen it is for US$70. I'm not sure if Acid Music Studio can save .wav files but it seems a lot more capable than the crippled Express and still fairly inexpensive. Can anyone that uses Acid Music Studio comment?

well, I do.
I don't remember people begging for big control surface capability - just better MIDI (T2: check) and several posts on better timestretch algorithms (T2: check?)

If you can find some way to get your loops acidized, you can use AMG ONE/Solo. It's very easy to use and supports rex/rex2/acid files. You do need to acidize the files first though, or rexify them.
