Ok, now on a more serious note. You might want to do some searches for "Foley" technique/effects which is the craft of recording sound FX for film and TV.

In the movie Washington Heights, a stabbing scene was accentuated by the sound of a knife cutting into flesh. But the sound wasn't real. It was Joe Diehl, plunging a chisel into a honeydew melon.

yeah it's a pretty hot biz right now if you do it right. a lot of big film guys are not always looking for the "best" sounds but more just "different" from all the major library releases.Chase wrote:Stabbing sounds and car crash sounds...I should get into the sampling business.
