strange rendering bug

I wrote a midi file for a drum part and added an automation curve on the track. The curve control FX1 of Wusikstation which is set to stereo echo. The problem is that the curve is set to zero until about ten bars into the drum part then it climb, but the first note of the midi file, where the curve is set to zero, plays with the FX1 full on on the rendered file.

I must add that playback is fine, the problem only appears on the rendered file, and that the problem is there on each and every render attempts, no matter what bit depth or sample rate I choose.

I think I've come across this one: Do you have a program change in the clip? Possibly the prg change is reseting the FX back to full after the initisl automation event..?

Try adding an extra automation node, after the start of the MIDI clip, but before your first note (might want to slip-edit the start of clip back a bit or merge it with an empty one) and set this to zero.

well, I did try your suggestions, but one at a time so I would know which one worked if it turned out it did work.

So the first thing I did was to add an empty midi clip before the drum part and merge it and render to file and... It worked :D right then and there.

Thank you platinumears, you saved my day :D

Strange bug thought...
