A little something I whipped up today with the Manystation and some of my own presets (and one of Paul's),

http://www.tronam.com/griels/ManyStatio ... laby_3.mp3 (192kbps)

http://www.tronam.com/griels/ManyStatio ... _3_128.mp3 (128kbps)

A bit of Ambience, Endorphin and NyquistEQ on it, that's all.

Any thoughts peeps? :D

Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

I like this – makes me feel good about having just ordered ManyStation. :)

Two comments:

1. The tempo – seeing as it’s a lullaby I think this tune would work better if you turned it down a notch.

2. The drums – again, for a lullaby they’re a bit too busy for my taste and the snare sound is a tad too intrusive. You might want to try something a bit more subdued – maybe a side stick?

Hmmm, maybe it’s working as a lullaby after all – I feel a bit drowsy. Off to bed. :hihi:

Nice one, griels. 8)

Fair enuff, it's at 120bpm and I was toying with the idea of slowing it to 100bpm (some of the parts were recorded at that tempo anyway, so it would probably sound more natural, I'm just a speed demon :D ).

Okidoki, the snare is a tad contentious from comments I've received already so I'll have a look into a mellower snare sound.

oh boy!

i'm loving this influx of manystation pieces - they're heightening my excitement for the morrow.

some beautiful sounds there, it's reminiscent of 1970's BBC2 intermission music, which i loved - at school we would occasionally watch a science education program; it's around 11 in the morning, eminating from the school kitchen are the first wafts of cooking, the teacher's set up the av equipment and there's a one minute countdown on the screen with a title like 'television for schools follows shortly' and they're playing the most dream inducing music - by the time the program's started my head's drifted off out the window and so on down through the years. ahh! happy times :) i'm just happy i've pre- ordered this thing.

thanks for the memories :D

Yeah, that's exactly where I was going this track, especially that lead sound  I'm a sucker for all those old 70s BBC Radiophonic Workshop tunes... I guess Boards of Canada reminded me of how much I love them... And of course there's the whole nostalgia trip, jumpers for goalposts and so on... ;)

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks :D

Sinth greels! :-o

The bottom end (missus) of yer acoustic geetar is getting mudded a lot wiht the bass there m'boy. El donko recommends 250 cut in said geetar.

the kick and snare sound awful :?

I like it, its quirky/mellow, or "quirllow" to sum it in one word.
Each one of these manystation tunes is also adding to my excitment at getting it tomorrow.

I forgot to say the rest sounds fine, i just think it was the wrong sample choice for those two sounds for this particular tune
