When i record over a previously recorded segment, and playback. All two waves playback together. I would like the topmost layer to playback only. There is an option where i can disable overrecording, but knowing that there is an underlayer helps while editing.

Also, I would like the cursor to snap to the current snap value. But its free. This is importan when i want to split a wave at a beat.
Thanks again

Fair enough. Though I fail to see the point of it working this way. Ill select Replace old clips rather that overlay newly recorded material. Hope it's not destructive though.Lunch Money wrote:Currently not possible to playback only one of the clips. Your only workaround is to drop a volume/pan filter into the one you want to mute and turn it down all the way.

no easy workaround (other than gregs method) in T1 ... but the loop recording features in T2 should make this all a lot easier ...

It's kinda ok. Im used to working with audio withought overlays cause that how Pro tools handles it. What i want to know is the current implementations reason ?

you don't actually have to drag a vol/pan filter on the clip; every clip has a vol/pan control built in - just look at the properties panel when you have a clip selected.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

yes. But this would still be very tedious. Cant see it working in a real day situation. Where you take dubs one after another.haydxn wrote:you don't actually have to drag a vol/pan filter on the clip; every clip has a vol/pan control built in - just look at the properties panel when you have a clip selected.

snapping>>> check: snap cursor movement
When doing multiple takes, we have a muted channel ready and shift drag the clips there - then shift drag the clip we want to here back. Not ideal, but beats muing clips with gain control.

What happens when the gutarist gives 10-20 takes. And then you sit to comp ?spacefox wrote:

Its not elegant but....I just record a bunch of tracks, muting as I go. Then I comp it by tossing the crap first, and pick from the good stuff. In the end its better just to play the part well....
Since thats not always an option. I just use a bunch of tracks and cleanup later. You can output them all to another track if you need to adjust the volume or pan for the comping part.
Loop recording is gonna be great!
