it's weird, I'm usually "ask 500,000 questions" then talk myself out of it with things......but this was an OH MY GAWD and here is the preorder money now!
It's like groove agent in some ways.......but it seems to have much more flexibility. And it's brand new.....and the company seems to be on the ball trying to "get it together"
IT's a pain to just have access to the demo right now......but I gotta say I am really looking forwared to the 24th (ahhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm, an actual release date...)to get to the nuts and bolts of it.
Let's review.......89usd (I think euros it's even less).....it's like better than groove agent but easy too.......and the customer support SEEMS terrific...........you make the call.

Yes...
This product is just what everybody (like me) who cannot write good drum track was dreaming of !!!
The price is amazing... 69 Euros !!!
I always find VST are overpriced ! This one is cheap for what it does !

well i spent a few hours yesterday with it and could not for the life of me get it to work with audio in from my pod xt. i saw the jpg that zauni posted of tracktion settings but still nothing. it must be me! i got the midi interaction to work just fine. i just couldn't get it to respond to my playing an instrument via audio.
the jpg is here: http://www.rayzoon.com/img/tracktion.jpg
when its working it is impressive...scary actually!

Hi Sean, did you align the audio-in with the track BEFORE dropping Jamstix on the track? The other way around seemed to cause problems IIRC.sean808080 wrote:i just couldn't get it to respond to my playing an instrument via audio.

Also, you could just use the audioM8 plugin instead!
Let me know if I can help more

i sure did...also using m8 didn't work as i expected it to. now that i think about it, i think my laptop hadn't been rebooted in a while and a few other things were awry. i'll reboot it tonite and give it another try. i'm not giving up so easily!

I've said it in another thread but I'll repeat it here, too.
We fixed an issue with audio jamming in Tracktion. Just overwrite your jamstix.dll with the one in this archive:
http://66.235.201.50/demos/jamstix099N.zip
and make sure to use audioM8.
Let me now if you have problems!

yes...after more fiddling around it is working. i have to admit it sure seems fussy. i, of course had tracktion crash just as everything was humming. then no more jamstix...no sound even though the red light was blinking. the only way around it was to delete the jamstix filter and add it again. it sure is addictive.....excellent job. just wish it was a little more user-friendly. in time.

- velocity tracking in MIDI and AUDIO mode is now seamless (old version updated only on beats)
- increased audio smoothing range by factor 4
- fixed sometimes 'frozen' velocity tracker when audio input goes to zero

I am sorry to see a couple of people having problems in tracktion. The sync is a bit odd.....but is being worked on and corrects itself pretty fast anyway.
The more I use this, the more unbelievable things I find.....it's just wild!

Played a bit more with it last night. I have to say I am amazed at how powerful it is and the cost - wow - much cheapness !
I see there is a Poll on the support Forum looking at how many people use the Audio Jam - I hope this doesn't mean it might be dropped in a future release (I know I know, getting a little ahead there . . .
I can see this being something that really makes waves. The only thing I think tht might enhance it in a future release would be the ability to quickly audition a style and fill/intro/ending but hey - what a package already at version 1
