DK+ - changing Pattern colours in skin

In between composing with DK+, I have been working on a new skin, but am stuck with the pattern colours.

The bitmap main colour for the pattern letter icons is blue but they display as red in the the Sequencer.

If you change the colour of a step in the Sequencer GUI it changes to a fairly dark shade of the selected colour (is there some "ORing" going on with the bitmap colour?).

Anyway can anyone tell me how to change the bitmap colours so that the Step sequencer colours still work?
