I am new to home recording and new to Tracktion. From what I have seen so far though, I am impressed with the apparent ease of use of the software.

Is there a detailed manual or "How to" book available for Tracktion. While I suspect the software will never need the 600+ page manuals of other software, a nice how to book would really make my life easier.

Thanks ... KJ

Have you tried the Help! lozenge at the bottom left of the screen? There's a fair amount of detail in the help pages; and by now pretty much anything they don't cover has probably been answered on this forum at some point...

No, there is no detailed manual or "How to" book. As dry bones says, your best bet is to simply start up Tracktion, and use its pop-up help, which is fantastic. That and hanging around on this forum taught me most of what I needed within a few uses.

T2 will have a detailed manual (which should help with T1, too), but T2's not out yet.

the online tracktion guides are a good place to start (and the popup help feature is ... well ... helpful) ... anything beyond that just ask here and youll usually get a response within hours if not sooner ...

... mackie have said T2 will have a much more comprehensive manual (maybe not quite up to 600 bloatiful pages happily but id imagine it might be split between a user guide and a reference manual and run to about ... ooh - at a guess ... 184 pages total)

In the meantime, you get to learn to think like Jules! Which is fun. This is why I bought Tracktion back in the day -- what, not for the GUI? -- because not only was it really intuitive and efficient but there's a certain humor to it.
