In an effort to distract you all from the relentless T2 threads, and partly because I'm just plain curious, I beg the question....what kind of music do you guys make using Tracktion? I notice there's a few guitarists that use Tracktion a lot, what else is going on? Experimental noise terror? Bit of loungey jazz maybe? Does anyone record live bands? What's the deal?

Feel free to enlighten myself and your fellow community members....apologies if this has done the rounds before, I'd use the search button but I need the typing practice a new thread entails.

did you check out the Tracktion In Action sticky?

A lot of people have posted their Tracktion made tunes, which should give some idea.

hm, I'd like to use this opprotunity to post once again the first track ever I did with Tracktion... - for a few members it's one of the kvr-classics and I must say I'm extremely proud to be able to make the following quotes:

it's one of the few "nothing but fun" songs that keep working after you get used to "the trick" (delay lama in this case :D ).

and it's extremely high energy and it simply screams: it's summer! 8)

 :D

the mix actually is rather shite, I know, but apparently the song works nonetheless for some people... 8)

I'm a lazy, lazy man. That would involve downloading loads of stuff too. I much prefer the scenario where I don't do all the work! I'll meet you halfway and promise (scouts honour) to listen to some stuff from the thread if you indulge me somewhat?

yeah, but Jules' clearly stated 'don't reply in this thread' which is imo a bit of a show-stopper...

I think it only happened once that someone (it was Greg) started a new thread to comment about the 'Tracktion in action'-thread...

all the songs on my page www.multree.com are made using Tracktion....

it's sort of a nonexperimental poptastic folkrock (I guess)

I make beadie eyed weirdo music with tracktion...

Some orchestral pieces, some ironic pop, some electro-acoustic and a lot of frivolous nonsense (including a minor hit in Norway, but that was done before Tracktion...)

I mixdown all of my bands audio recordings using Tracktion. Although none of these songs are available online yet, parts of the drum tracks of many of our songs (plus some jammy stuff) can be downloaded here, here, and here.

I also do some sequenced compositions. A couple can be heard here.

All done in Tracktion.

I've ran into a crisis where I can't finish any tunes.

I've been jumping from progressive house to darkcore deathbient to bukem-easlylisten dnb to monotrack to melodic glitch for almost a year now, can't land on my own thing

all is shite and I'm very, very unhappy.

After T2 comes out I'll leave this place for a while, get back to singing like ten years ago and spill out the horror of losing identity. I think I could be bored with electronic music in general.

Sorry, what was the question again? :?

that's sad - I feel with you! :-(

try concentrating on what's special about your music and expand on this regardless of what style it turns out to be... - just be yourself! :-)

...also you could start a collaboration with someone...

@pakana

I hear you. I've been suffering a great deal of the same recently.

One day I'm trying to write trance, the next I'm doing DnB, and I'm totally unfocussed.

I'm not hearing much that is interesting me either. :(
