hi liqih,
thanks for changing the Follow button to stay on while using the mouse. i really like it.
a couple of things i noticed so far:
1) shouldn't Follow stay OFF if it is set to OFF? currently it is coming on when you use MIDI to select patterns. it correctly stays OFF when the mouse is used. it also correctly stays ON when set to ON (as changed for this version
).
2) the Next indicator works much better now, but i notice a problem when the tempo is reduced to a very low value. on my machine it begins to miss setting the N button or sets it only when a new pattern is selected very late in the current pattern. it appears to be related to buffer size. i run at bufsize=128, and noticed problems when the tempo dropped below 50 BPM. the problems went away at that tempo when i increased the buffer size to 512.
3) When using Sequencer Live Mode to select patterns on ch. 16, if you switch from a pattern of non-zero length to a pattern of zero length, the non-zero length pattern correctly finishes before switching,
BUT,
when switching from the zero-length pattern back to a non-zero length pattern, there is a delay before switching...as if it is finishing a non-zero length pattern.
shouldn't switching from a non-zero length pattern be immediate, since there is effectively no pattern to complete before switching? i hope this makes sense.
4) the dll files show version number 1.0.4 (when viewed on the hard-drive. the About box correctly show 1.00.07.
that's it for now.

thanks mate,
2, we will check
3, it must be that way since it's synced to song measures
don't you expect to see the new pattern when you change it by MIDI?1) shouldn't Follow stay OFF if it is set to OFF? currently it is coming on when you use MIDI to select patterns.

i guess you could look at that way. i guess i just figure if it's turned off, it's off. if it's turned on, it's on.liqih wrote:thanks mate,

consider if i'm simply playing back my sequencer for a mixdown and it is making pattern changes in DK+: i don't need to see the new patterns as they play. presumably i'm done editting them and i don't need visual verification anymore...
in fact, is there a CPU hit for all that GUI updating?
anyway, if i want to see them, i turn FOLLOW on. that's what it's for...(at least IMHO).
thanks!

i understand...thanks.

Summary of stuff I noticed with .006...
1) Cubase thought the new DK+ version was a new instrument, so I lost the settings in an existing song
2) Also noticed minor thing, manual states NOTE ON on C3 turns on DK+, and C#3 turns it OFF, but it is actually the other way around.
3) If I don't have "follow" enabled, then the midi selected pattern is not highlighted
4) Sometimes DK+ is crashing Cubase all together, causing the host and plugin to "poof" (disappear). Or Cubase has a "serious error". I'm using the latest SX 2.2.
5) Select kit Electronics Vintage Light, style blues shuffle. Right click HH Closed and select shift right. DK+ replaces the snare and HH Closed with the Kick!

Gday
Has anyone else experienced crashing with Cubase SX ?
I cannot go a session withour DK+ causing a cubase "serious error" or SX disappearing all together. It makes it hard to use DK+
Is there something I can do to help you find the cause of this crashing?
thanks

cheers for that, thought maybe a log or something might help find the cause.

there are 41 kits, of different samples,
and 21 styles, each style got A, B, fill A, fill B, intro, end,
plus a bunch of custom patterns for the some sets,

Maybe I am missing something fundamental in the operation of DK+ but I cannot see how to selectively play patterns and in particular how stop or switch patterns. From the time the sequencer is started and even after a midi note is encountered it continues playing nonstop. This happens in FLS5 PE and eXT 1.3. and is happening with vs 1.00.07.
