one.

Select some midi notes, then right click to copy, but the midi notes are unselected when you right click

two.

open the GUI color editor, then click back to your edit page and then go bac to the settings page. The color editor window is gone and if you click on its button it does not open. I assume it is stuck behind the main tracktion window.

I am on a mac.

Bug 1 confirmed.
Bug 2 not confirmed. I'm on a PC.

yep - confirmed here also - so in effect it copies the clip, not the notes. ctrl+c & then ctrl+v works though (pc).

Try a quicktime movie, and use the offset start time. Hit play and it still plays from the start, except it jumps around.

Also, so far, playback is not completely smooth. Each movie I played jumped once in the first 2 seconds. Is this my error?

Bug 2: The editor should be there, but behind the main window. Just move the front window (which you can do now). A little wierd, I guess it would be nice for the Editor window to be "brought to the front" when you click the button again. Especially since we don't get our Window menu to swap through windows on the mac. (and we have no task bar)

bug 1 is normal behavior in T1 is it not? are you not supposed to use ctrl-c? spooked me ages ago for T1 that one.

Press CTRL + Shift + C to regain focus on the Colour Editor, or just click on it in your taskbar... it has a separate taskbar button, just like VST.

Whoops, on a Mac! Er... check the shortcuts list and you'll see one for the editor. Not sure what the Mac equivalent of the taskbar is.

Sure is.

you have to minimize the main tracktion window to retrieve the UI colors window on a mac. It does not show as a separate window in the dock.

Sure is.
That does not make sense that you cannot select some midi notes and right click to copy them. Why bother having a right click then?

Post

Tracktion's right click is more global than in other programs. Jules wanted to have as little "right clicking" as possible probably.

too bad - I like right clicking

it is certainly not intuitive (whatever that means) to select some notes, right click copy and find you copied the whole clip. If I had wanted to copy the clip, I would have selected the clip.

especially working on audio, my left hand is often on the midi keyboard not the computer keyboard, I don't like to be forced to use both hands on the computer keyboard when working with midi.

I can't confirm this, as I'm not in front of my Mac right now, but don't forget you can use Expose to move around between all open windows. I think it's the F9 & F10 keys.

I can confirm, on the Mac F10 does the trick, even if the Main window is Maximized.

Is that a standard Mac function for paging through windows?
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!
