Can someone tell me how to set the timecode indicator to default to minutes and seconds instead of bars and beats?

just press "T"

Thanks, mate. I was really wanting to be able to open an edit with minutes and seconds already up by default. I guess it's no hardship to press T, but a default would be even better.
