people are complaining over and over again about missing features or bug or dissapointments or that they feel lucky with it or love it or....
because we don't know, if it is recognized by jules or mackie because the threads in this forum are moving down fast. we just have to believe it. if there would be a sticky list were for example bugs can be reported and then mackie or jules can confirme that they have read it, nobody would discuss them anymore. every useless thread would end fast with "it's been reported and confirmed by mackie, look there..(link)" or "it's on the upcoming features list here (link)" or "you are completely happy development can stop now ? vote there (link)".

but thats all in my humble opinion

That sounds to me like a sensible suggestion.

There was one for 1.6, but it was un-sticky'd.
Um....

all reported bugs are being tested by the beta testers & loged!!!

mackie are allso watching this forum constantly with there in house beta tester

i know you would like to here it from a mackie rep but beno is the only rep that postes in this forum, & he is away

so lets calm things down in here before all the helpers get fed up & go back to making music instead of helping otheres (well trying to)

any way i'm off to be a producer again

buy buy & have fun with T2 :)

And jolly politely and reasonably put, and certainly not warranting such a dismissive response above IMHO.

Well said.

I do agree with you aldi. I think it would be great to have a thread like that just like in T1. I'm sure Beno will do something when he returns. The ONLY problem is that some people will complain constantly no matter what you do. It doesn't matter if they've been heard or not. They will complain until their problem gets fixed. But that's inevitable, and you just got to look beyond the few.

But yes, I do hope that Mackie does that. I know the beta testers are doing it somewhat, but as you said, it would help to have confirmation that it got to Mackie, just so those who don't think the betas are listening or don't know they are there can see that their request has been seen.

There is one other problem. It seems that many of the T1 bugs (MIDI dropped note, stuck notes, rewire bug, Final Mix preset management...) remain unfixed in T2... even though they were reported through the correct channels, posted in the previous "bug report" thread, and moaned about at length here.

I think that the moaning from some (me included, perhaps!) relates to the fact that you can report a bug in Tracktion and nothing appears to get done, even after months of waiting.

And the frustration is a two-way thing, because other forum users equally get pissed off with people moaning, even though they actually have a quite legitimate complaint.

Erm... how was jalapeno being an arse?

Funny you should say that.

You asked in another thread what constituted moaning when people were listing bug reports. Well, your post above, and in about 15 other places, passes as a good example. Once is a bug report. Twice is being a little pushy to make sure people got it the first time. Three times, you are labouring the point. More than that, you're moaning.

It is not helpful for the beta-testers or Mackie to find genuine bug reports amongst hundreds of posts by a hdnful of people repeatedly making the same damn point over and over and over.

I can't see that those uses who arte looking for specific answers are greatly helped by that either.

I propose a new tactic: make your report, wait for someone to corroborate it. Bump the thread if no-one has responded in a few days, then shut up about it, because the point has now been made.

the same way subject was being dismissive?

Oh, and if it makes people feel better, the beta test group have taken it upon themselves to log and test each and every bug report on this forum. These are then passed up to the relevant people at Mackie. You can be sure therefore that reports *are* being heard, both by us, and by Mackie.

We aren't doing this for any reason that because we figure it will be helpful to all concerned, so please don't expect us to get into long and detailed conversations about what we have listed, or to make the list public.

Nice.

Are we allowed to praise T2 more than once, or is that equally annoying?
