Drop first note fixed with mod's plugin (download link here)

so if you find the first note droping in some of your vsti's then this plugin should fix it (windows only )

ModuLR has made this for us free of charge so say thank you!

download DRoP_FiX & place it in your vst folder, any plugins that are droping the first note put a drop fix plugin BEFORE the vsti that is dropping the first note

if you have wraped your vsti you will need to make sure you put a drop fix plugin before ALL tracks with that wrapper loaded for it to work!

if anybody is still getting the first note droped with this plugin please could thay post the info in this thread or ModuLR's other thread, witch not verry meny have responded to!!!

this plugin has given me a 100% sucess rate while beta testing!

Works in Tracktion version 1 as well

Also good clear explanation of the problem djsubject.

Can I suggest making this thread a sticky? While the bug remains in Tracktion's programming, the need for this fix will be there, and it would be good for newcomers to find it straight away. Also a link from the Mackie forum?

should be mentioned here, that the plugs or synths on wich the droppnote accures are buggy, not tracktion. simply the plugs aren't playing the note that's on the "all notes off" message tracktion sending for good resons(tracktion must tell the vsti to cut all notes because the loop ends). so we shouldn't go on calling it a tracktion bug

Except that one of the synths in question is apparently ... the Tracktion Sampler

... and other hosts recognise and compensate for the problem as standard.

actually they are different issues. The one with the Tracktion Sampler is a record bug in tracktion where is drops the NoteOn.. The drop first note issue that effects VSTs playback are issues with those plugins mishandling AllNotOffs, not tracktion.
