What is Muse Machine?

I have been reading about Muse Machine on museresearch.com, does anyone know what this is? Is it some kind of "starting-point" for programming audio apps or something? Is the Receptor built on Muse Machine? And will it be available to software developers in the near future?
Thanks,

Muse Machine is the software at the core of Receptor. It can be used for other products, but I doubt that it will be made available to other developers in the near future. Much later, you never know...o.strandem wrote:I have been reading about Muse Machine on museresearch.com, does anyone know what this is? It says on your website;
"The Muse Machine is being developed to enable manufacturers to embrace the powerful benefits of desktop software and embed it into dedicated, user-friendly devices"
I got the impression that muse machine does not include the receptor software itself, merely it's os and audio engine etc. etc.
Does this mean that other hardware manufacturers, but NOT software developers, will be able to use muse machine in their products?

Yes, you are correct. When I said that the Muse Machine is at the core of Receptor, I meant exactly that. It is the audio and MIDI engine of Receptor. On top of that there is the specific application with 16 Instruments channels, 2 F/X buses, and so on. On a different product it may be more or less channels, more or less F/X buses, more or less I/O, different front panel or no front panel, etc.o.strandem wrote:It says on your website;

The long term strategy of the company is to have different hardware products either manufactured by us or by other companies. In the short term we are concentrating our resources on improving Receptor.o.strandem wrote:Does this mean that other hardware manufacturers, but NOT software developers, will be able to use muse machine in their products?
We are not excluding software developers. If you have a specific proposal you could contact us directly. At this point we do not have an SDK, but if your proposal is very interesting you never know what can happen.
