one more automation question

say i mix a song and have the automation how i wantit..but one of the automated (volume)guitars is too low..so i want to bring it up a db..when i do that it resets because the automation is in place..so how can i mix volumes w/out deleting all my automation and starting again?

2 ways:
select the automation curve, and scale or displace it using the controls in the properties panel
or add another volume control after the automated one that just gives a constant volume boost
