can someone explain to me how the MIDI-sync'ed Echo FX is supposed to work?

if i rotate the Delay Time knobs, it sets the MIDI tempo to FREE and echoes at the set rate (as expected).

BUT: if i select an entry in the MIDI tempo menu, the result appears to be a fraction of a fixed BPM tempo, NOT a fraction of the host tempo as documented.

i'm using the new EVE 1.8.xx but it's no different in the earlier versions (1.4h), so i must be doing something wrong.

i also using eXT (18-mar beta), but same thing in tracktion2.

:help:

don't cry mate, <grin>

the sync menu of Echo simply select a delay time which is a ratio of the host BPM, no direct sync to sequencer, make sense?

when you move the delay time knob you loose the sync

thanks for the reply, liqih. :D

i know it's not direct sync, but i get no change at all (no ratio applied) that i can tell!

i'm using energyXT.

when i try the same thing in wuskistation, changing the ratio on the Echo effect causes the echo rate to change noticeably as a function of eXT's BPM tempo.

but no change at all in EVE. very important to me!

and i realize turning the knobs causes a loss of sync.

what am i doing wrong (it must work if no else notices this, but no luck for me)? :?
