Right, I'm a complete newb with MIDI stuff. How do I get my MIDI keyboard (Roland E-20) to do something within Tracktion? I have it connected with a Turtle Beach MIDI/USB cable to my Mac G4. It shows up as an input device, but I'm lost as to how to make it work. Specifically, I want to control Broomstick Bass with the keyboard, but it's not working...

In the edit window, does the MIDI device show up on the left hand side of the screen? Have you dragged it to the right track, with a VSTi synth inserted? Finally, is e-to-e enabled?

Have you tried any other synths?

Check the track is routed to the correct audio output (not MIDI: the VSTi converts the MIDI data into an audio stream which needs to reach your speakers..)

yes, it's going to audio output; I can hear it play when I use the "keyboard" on the vsti. Seems that the commands are not getting through from the Roland however.

You have to look into the Roland E-20 Owners Manual to make sure it is sending midi out by default.
On some keyboards you have to set it manualy.

is this T1 or T2?
