Right, I'm a complete newb with MIDI stuff. How do I get my MIDI keyboard (Roland E-20) to do something within Tracktion? I have it connected with a Turtle Beach MIDI/USB cable to my Mac G4. It shows up as an input device, but I'm lost as to how to make it work. Specifically, I want to control Broomstick Bass with the keyboard, but it's not working...

Check the track is routed to the correct audio output (not MIDI: the VSTi converts the MIDI data into an audio stream which needs to reach your speakers..)

yes, it's going to audio output; I can hear it play when I use the "keyboard" on the vsti. Seems that the commands are not getting through from the Roland however.

You have to look into the Roland E-20 Owners Manual to make sure it is sending midi out by default.
On some keyboards you have to set it manualy.
