I'm I the only one annoyed by this?!

A couple of things. We've never had a count-in with Loop activated. So my work around for that in T1 was to simply put the play back 1 bar towards the end of the loop and have it loop back to the beginning (same as in Reason). But now in T2 when loop mode is activated, the freggin play back jumps to the first marker when you hit record and starts recording.

So its impossible to record midi in loop mode for me. 1 because I cant catch the beginning without a count-in, and 2 becuase it wont let me start recording anywhere else and I'm not about to wait for the entire clip to play again so I can play the beginning. Loop mode is useless to me now. It might be great for audio but it sux for midi. I'm I missing something obvious?
PLEASE MAKE THIS AN OPTION!!

If I'm the only one that feels this way I'll shut up now. :D

DOH! just noticed that the other day... was afraid to mention due to some sensitive people... But since you did! Yea, that's been pissing me off for a long time... I gave up and just started using punch!

I'm not using 2 yet on account of the noize but if loop recording really only starts at the in point that does seem like a drag.

As I have posted elsewhere the whole transport could use a tweak to allow pre-roll. While we're at it, a "wait for midi feature" would be great so you could park the transport where you want to place the first note...

ok heres another crappy work around

you can move the in out markers while its recording ;)

& yes it dose piss me off aswell as no count in in loop mode

oh well

I hadn't noticed this, but when i've got time i'll have to check it out - but it would certainly be a PITA if true that even the work around now doesn't work for this non-feature/lack of functionality (or however one would term it). Is there any option/key combo that allows one to overcome this that anyone knows of? Bugger - the more I think about it ... damn.

So you start the markers a few bars b4 - & then move them to the correct loop point? Guerss that'll have to do for now, thanks for switching us onto it djsubject - but you are right - it is a bit 'crappy' to borrow your description.

Well I didnt mind it at all in T1 becuase you could still start recording at any spot. So you could either place it 1 bar before the recording point. Or if it was at the beginning then just place it towards the end and have it loop. Not anymore.

Thats a big hassle for me. My markers are usually at the beginning and at the end of the whole song. So to grab the first marker I usually have to scroll a lot, or zoom out all the way grab the marker then zoom back in, or place the cursor somewhere and push "I", or select the clip and hit "m" but then I have to worry about moving both markers back where they were. Bah! I just want to point somewhere and hit R for record (while still in loop ofcourse  )

Y'know the funny thing is that even when a deficiency in tracktion (such as this one) is pointed out to me, & I have to use some work around i'm: firstly grateful that people seem willing to help & find the workarounds & secondly nowhere near as bummed as some of my friends who are using certain other sequencers (both pc & mac) which have some fairly serious issues & finally - I still simply just like tracktion - enough to not be really pissed at having to use workarounds (though with the everpresent hope that future updates will address some of them). It's knda like you love your lass (brit term for firlfriend) even though she gets on your tits sometimes - y'know what I mean?

this sunday i'm going to do a serious search through this forum for workarounds & hints & tips etc. Personally I feel that some of them - such as this one, tim brackets 'template' suggestions http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 7&start=30 & others such as haydnx's scrubbing tip http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83445 should be gathered in some kind of workaround &/or hints, tips & tricks stickies.
