Rendering tracks in XTC mode

Up till now I've been mainly using Tracktion to record audio from my Creamware synths directly (which works beautifully) but I've recently been experimenting with XTC mode so I can lay down a midi track and use my Creamware synths as VST instruments (and effects). However I'm finding it impossible to render the midi tracks made by these synths even if I use realtime render - I just get strange noises on playback. I know the Scope engine can't cope with faster than realtime or freeze but thought realtime would be OK. Anyone else using Tracktion with a Creamware card having this problem?

U need to set up XTC mode right & then bounce using a left & right merge module. See http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... forum=3&21 for more information on how to set it up. Basically once it is set up correctly & you want to bounce down u set the output for the track to be bounced to 'L& R Merge' & then u set another tracks input to 'L& R Merge' & then hit record.

I didn't realise you could change the XTC project. Looks a bit complicated though.

It's not all that hard mate - the above page kinda walks u through it - i think it mentions how u can set it up so that u can use external editors whilst still in xtc mode (e.g launch a wdm app like audition or wavelab etc.). If you want u can pm me & i'll email you my xtc configuration - u would just need to save it to your D:\Scope\App\XTCApp directory (make sure u back up the original xtcproject.pro first). Another essential tip there is to edit your cset.ini in D:\Scope\App\Bin - as in xtc mode the pulsar never seems to remember what you have set your latency to.
