OK I think made a booboo – I say ‘think’ as this is on my home PC and this has just dawned on me here at work:

I have a piece ( 3 mins plus ) and Track 1 was midi drums, Track 2 midi bass, Track 3 midi Rhodes, Track 4 audio guitar.

I decided to pull all the snares on to a new track to play with SIR reverbs. So, on track 5 I hit ‘insert new midi clip’ which, iirc, creates a short clip (ie not 3 mins plus !). I then selected all the snare hits in Track 1, cut and pasted them in to Track 5.

I have lost all the snare hits that took place after the end of my newly created midi clip haven’t I ? :dog:

<edit> - this was in T2 demo - I also have T1 full.

The entire midi clip should be there.
You just need to stretch the length of the new midi clip to the correct size.

timmyo - it's helpful to spend a few minutes learning which Tracktion features are non-destructive (quite a lot of them as it happens) and which aren't.

You'll be amazed how many edits you can make that don't interfere with the underlying MIDI or audio data, and the knowledge will give you peace of mind when making edits or testing ideas. :)
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

Point taken - I have the T2 manual printed off in my bag - it has been enjoying its trips to and from work, but not getting read much of a lunch time ;-)
