Just curious, but is this somehow better than Final Mix? Or does it do something differently?

i just simply wanted to try it, not sure i think final mix is better, i can really really hear the compression pumping on stardust...

but that pumping can be good on drums etc....
I generally like the sound of Stardust if it's used lightly, FinalMix is better for fullon mastering imho.
I do love the bass enhancer in Stardust though, throbbing.

ok ill have to play with that on drums.
I hadn't.
however do you think it should be applied to each separately (one on snare one on bdrum etc) or altogether?

I'm thinking in terms of a heavily 'effected' drum part (electronic/dance etc.) Compress everything for a 'chunkier' (read: kick ass!
) drum part.
For 'natural' musics I'd do everything seperately.
