Wrap it in a rack, and hover your mouse over the plug inputs to identify the key & stereo/mono ins (depending on whether you're using the mono or stereo version). If you want to use a kick drum to duck a bass track, send the kick to the key input and the bass to the normal ins. The comp will duck out the bass based on a combination of the envelope in the key signal and the settings you've dialed into the compressor. Hit the 'key solo' switch to monitor the key signal at any time...

(sidenote: I wish the new comps had an input fader, as it's a bit fiddly setting up different comp envelopes with the nodes, especially when calling up a preset and moving them all individually based on the incoming program material. An input fader would enable you to control how much signal is feeding into the comp, allowing you to drive the node-ed envelope or pull back on it. Or a 'group node' function would be another alternative...maybe I should just make a proper FR, or drop a volume/pan filter before the comp

well the plugin is licenced to T2bk wrote:I really can't imagine they would allow the plug to show up in T1 and then tell you you're not allowed to use it!
i would be a bit concerend about using it in T1 on a pro level (eg; making money from the use of them)
& i dont think ben alone can say yes or no,
its probly up to mackie licencing department!
