Will $20 upgrade cancel any future rebate on boxed T2?

Sorry for the new post, but it seemed better than spamming other people's with the same question.

I really want to get on with T2, but whilst the issue of non-US rebate is being decided, will purchasing the $20 T2 upgrade now remove any possibility of a bundled upgrade in the future?

I guess it probably would, as essentialy the T1 licence has been upped to T2 and so is no longer valid.

Worth just holding on for a bit just to see what the situation is?

Yeah, I don't want to upgrade just yet before this question is answered. I suspect that registered T1 users will get no discount at all on the boxed version, as there's cost and margin implications regarding the bundled plugs - and regardless of Mackies customer service, they're not going to be selling anything at a loss. But I'd like to hear it officially too.

Yeah, I would really like to start the download and get going with t2 without worring that I'll regret it later, when I find out the compleate plugin list.

I think it makes sense to have the upgrade offer for 20$ ,and to allow people who change their mind to pay the 100$ to upgrade again. That's just MORE money for Mackie, right? It would be a good idea.

From what I've heard the $60 mail-in rebate is only available in the USA.

OK here is the OFFICIAL word that I was given. You can use any and all rebates available to you. If your upgrade page shows you two possible upgrade paths, you can use both.

I purchased the $20 download so I could have T2 working now, and later when the boxed version was available, purchase that. However, after the download purchase, the $60 boxed upgrade is no longer listed. When the boxed version is actually shipping, how will I make that purchase?
