It's called the keyboard mouse and may well be the last one in existance. I brought it off ebay hoping to make use of it, alas it only comes with win95 drivers and ps2 connection.

If any Tracktioneers have any suggests as to how one might get this to work I'm all ears :hyper:

That looks like a really cool laptop accessory! I would love to have that for use in Sibelius, which is the one program on my laptop where I really miss having a number pad.

Hi Tingle...cool looking tool  Worth having a go with a ps2 to usb converter and if win 95 driver won't install try running the program in compatibility mode...I'm assuming your on xp...with a bit of luck it just maps to the relevant shortcuts in tracktion just like your real keyboard(all modifiable in T2 anyway) :)

One things for sure if has to go for resale I'm sure an 0906 fiend would love that for internet calls

If you get the USB 2 PS2 workin you shouldn't need a driver under XP, If you do you need a driver you wont be able to run it in compatability mode because thats only for Apps :(

I have an external keypad for my laptop though and although it needed drivers for win95 non were needed for XP ;)

So there is a chance it will work then if the usb conversion works NAS and no need for the specific driver under USB beacause it's just a generic common device?...that's potential good news then for Tingle.

Thanks for the headsup on the Strategic commander whyterabbit....72 possible shortcuts!...it kinda reminds me of the brain bug from starship troopers

Looks like a bit of cross posting....it's not recognised?...looks like it's a bit of kit that needs a driver and as NAS mentions without could be :( ....if the driver is loadable can it be manually installed as a new usb device under new hardware so the Usb port may allow it to work?

I think this is a GREAT Tracktion companion. This little control pad sits on top of my controller so I dont have to keep switching back and forth when I'm recording midi. It has 9 buttons with 2 shift sets so a total of 27 function. I have the entire Tracktion transport programmed into it and I still have room for other stuff. It even lets you do key combos and complex macros! I love it. Oh and the keyboard it comes with feels really good and lights up along with the control pad. Best 50bux I've spent in a while.
