can you be a bit more specific? because I'm not experiencing anything like what you are describing.

okay say youre working on mixing down some stuff thats already recorded so you turn off the left hand side (inputs). Now try scrolling vertically down to see other tracks.

Ok. Where's the problem..?

Post

slightly OT but i think there should be a shortcut to zoom vertically... maybe alt mousewheel or something?

You mean instead of the current CNTRL mousewheel..? ;)

what about those who use laptops without a mousewheel

The bettter question is how are you attempting to scroll vertically? It works fine here. I can mousewheel over the left side or the right side, [shift]+up/down, or [alt]+up/down (moving from track to track). So I don't see what you are experiencing here as there are numerous ways to scroll vertically with the left panel closed.

how about using the scrollbar on the right?

He's talking about left-click-drag in the extreme left for scrolling vertically. With the input section hidden, you can't do that.

and there is a scrollbar on the right... doesn't that do the same thing?

doesn't your laptop offer scroll support from the touchpad? most do - it may be a setting you can change for your mousepad drivers.

OT: Anybody who doesnt use a scroll wheel (or scroll wheel function for laptops) with tracktion is missing out. I have no pitty for you. :ud:
