sonicsmurf pointed me to the list of Mackie distributors so I rang the Benelux distro. He told me that he had just received the "boxes" and that I could order it now from any Mackie dealer.
What he didn't know is how the upgrade path was to be handles, Beno can you shed some light on this? How do I explain to the dealer that I am a registered T1 user?

Yes. Some heads-up on this would be reassuring, as there are alot of T2 online/upgrade owners who would like an upgrade to a nice shiny boxed version too.jalapeno wrote:And for that matter, that I'm a registered T2 online upgrader/owner ?

I remember when I upgraded online that it clearly said you can only upgrade to T2 once. I took this to mean that once you upgrade online, you don't have an upgrade path to the boxed version.ceenda wrote:Yes. I'm torn between the two for personal use. At $20 it would be pointless not to upgrade online. Then I can use my MIDI controller effectively. Also the MIDI editing and GUI are more than worth the modest upgrade price. $20 is awesome!
Then again, I'm quite interested in RMIV, Slayer and the Sampletank stuff, but concerned that the box could cost £140 or so in the UK (i.e. around $260+)... so an announcement about this would be welcome.
Lastly, I have trawled through the online music retailers that I am familiar with here and visited both of the local music stores and have yet to locate anyone in the UK who even plans to sell T2 boxed version at present. So I'm guessing that trade info is not yet well distributed among the retailer community. If anyone does know of a music store in the UK that are planning on selling this, please let me know!

I followed the link and got to that bit, and I understood it the same way as you.pw wrote: I remember when I upgraded online that it clearly said you can only upgrade to T2 once. I took this to mean that once you upgrade online, you don't have an upgrade path to the boxed version.
I turned back at that point and delayed upgrading... until I have better info to make a decision.

Here in the little Swissie-Land it's sold by the music store 'Promusig' in Zurich. They deliver the magic box in (as much as) 3 weeks for CHF 290.- (being US$ 240.-, GBP 127.-, EUR 187.-)
About the plugins: I could really do without the RMIV (don't like it) and without Slayer (only good for Rock stuff) but I look forward to checking out Amplitube and Sampletank!
(PS- Groetjes to my goold old friend Slack Node
