I told jules this earlier, the gui is inconsistent in the racks, he said he didnt think of it, wondering why it wasnt implemented in t2... But say im working on a rack and simply want to copy a filter within the rack... Well you cant ctrl drag within a rack.

[ctrl] drag would be nice... for the time being tho, [ctrl-c], [ctrl-v] work properly in T2. It pastes inside the rack instead of on the track now. Another nice feature would be a lasso.

still, though - its not about what would be nice or cool, its about the overall consistency of the User Interface. Now that T2 is in the big ring, we've got to have some thigns that are consistent.

you can ctrl-drag to outside the boundaries of the rack, and then you'll see that you've got a new copy of the filter under your cursor, which you can drop back into the rack. the downside to this workaround is that it always leaves the original right by the edge of the rack.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.
