(EDITed for clarity)
yes you can ... but its a destructive edit (ie - changes the source file too) ...
1 - staying on the EDIT page select the audio clip you want to reverse
2 - in the properties panel click the 'view source info' button
3 - click 'edit audio file' > 'basic editing operations ... '
4 - 'reverse' is on the bottom of the 'operation type' list
... non-destructive reversing is a popular FR though

i know, but long enough for me not to do it much because it's a hassle. for me thats the key.
edit: using ableton live, creating real, reversed copies of audio clips in the arrange view is (at most) a two click operation. so i found myself using that alot more.
It's not laziness that prevents me from dong it in tracktion (i'll happily create micro edits for hours on end).. it's the way that the screen switching that's necessary to copy and reverse a clip is such a disorientating jolt that it uspets my 'train of thought'/flow/whatever while im working on a track.. While i'm in the project window i'm managing files instead of making music.

If you want to create a reversed version of an existing audio clip without overwriting the original, and place the reversed clip in your track, you have to visit the project screen.
(if i've been missing something all this time, and theres a faster way plase let me know!)

You can ctrl+drag the clip into another track and render it. Still a hassle though, but you don't need to switch screens.cbit wrote:If you want to create a reversed version of an existing audio clip without overwriting the original, and place the reversed clip in your track, you have to visit the project screen.

I agree that some sort of "make real copy" or "render selected clips in place" will improve workflow in T.

thanks for the suggestion spacefox, yeah i guess thats probably the fastest way to do it at the moment (creating a new tack to drag the clip to to make sure you're just rendering the clip you want).

reversinator, tempo synched reverser, buffered and memory: i have used all these plugs to try to speed up the process of reversing a clip in tracktion. rendering their output works quite well as long as you don't have any pitched-up audio clips in the section you're rendering (and i usually do
)
