Tracktion's own temp folder can also be moved by going to the settings / misc. tab.

OK,
I admit, I'm hijacking this thread so stand back....
My Tracktion projects are buried (from the beginning, I never changed) in C:\Program Files\Tracktion\Scotts tracktion projects.
All of my plugins are at c:\program files\Tracktion\Plugins\( and a bunch of directories where I have the plugs organized into categories - reverbs, delays, amp sims, etc.
Well, I'm getting tired of punching down through such a deep directory structure. I want to make it something like x:\1Tracktion for the root directory - right there at the top of my directory structure.
I should put my projects on my other drive, I realize.
So, is this easily done with a directory re-name, and a re-scan of plugin directories using the new location; or am I setting myself up for a headache by trying to go for this change?

moving projects should be moderately painless - however:
archiving and then un-archiving at the desired location is absolutely the better way to do this.
Moving plugins may be trickier. Most will not care, but a few may stop working as they will detect the move may lose registration details.
