Hi all

The ups man didnt make it to me last week, so I had to wait through the holiday weekend :( , anyhow T2 finally arrived today, but my excitement has been somewhat subdued due to the fact that me mouse has been misbehaving these last few days. :scared:

It feels like its getting stuck in mud....like its...well...loosing tracktion!!! :) just trying to stay cheerful here.

Not gonna install T2 just yet,...must/will/have to get this sorted first.

I hope its just a minor thing,....Im not very good with computers, so go easy,....btw, task manager is showing some nasty spikes.

Specs: 2.0 GHz, P4, win xp home, 60 gig HD, 768mg Ram, 68% free space.

ps This erratic mouse movement happens even with nothing running. :help:

if the mouse is a ball mouse type then

a) take the ball out and rub it briskly with a standard eraser. Next, carefully dislodge all of the shit that will be attached to the little wheels inside the ball cavity.
b) throw the bloody thing away and get an optical version (the logitech ones can be had for 15 bucks are are pretty good).

on all mice you need to check that there is no gunk affixed to the feet (the little self lubricating plastics pads at the bottom of the mouse), and that whatever you use as a mouse mat is at least moderately clean.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

I have two computers, one with an optical mouse and one with a regular mouse. Both went bad this week! In my case, the optical mouse simply broke somehow--after "stuttering" for a few days it finally gave me a "Driver Error" message. That's got to be a hardware issue, though. In the case of the regular mouse, it just required the usual "pull the ugly hair strands/desk snot thingies" out from the works. Have you done that?

Valley posted just ahead of me--he's right, optical meeces are worth the bux!

Hi

I did clean some fluff from the inside of the mouse, but perhaps I need to do a more thorough job.

But tomorrow I will purchase new mouse....a minor problem indeed.

But I must confess, last week I got in to a frenzy downloading free plugins, I came home with a fist full of 'em and loaded all of them,...I usually try them out 1 at a time, but not this time, I think I might have a shaky vst on board, windows media player started acting up also, every time I put in a cd audio or data, it would start to copy to the library, I DLd version 10 and its working fine now.

Many thanks for your help,
excitement starting to build again :)
