Automation punch out?

Hi,

In T2, I can't seem to find a way to select "punch out" in the menu for the "Automation" button on the arrangement window. The option is greyed-out and can't be selected. The keyboard shortcut doesn't work either.

Any ideas? I'm wanting to record some parameter automation on a track, and when I stop making moves I want Tracktion to stop recording the automation, but continue playing and reading-back the old automation that was already on the track (like "touch" mode in Logic) )
