Using Waves Plugs in Tracktion. Not Possible?

my waves plugs won't work with tracktion. it skims and ignores them in the plugin scan.
these plugs were expensive as hell and it is currently preventing me from going forward with tracktion.
at the moment i am having to use cubase, which i loathe.
i would be a full and total tracktion user if this were possible to sort.

do they wrap in, for example, energyXT? you can try the demo to find out. i don't have them so i can't try it for you
EDIT: sorry, just read that eXT doesn't do them either. shitty design on the waves developers part

Do waves plugins come in a direct-x format? perhaps you could try loading them into FFX-4 (direct-x -> vst wrapper) if they do and seeing if they'll load that way?

I believe they should work on PC if you have the most recent waveshell, and you have Realtime Priority Mode disabled.

I had the same problem a year ago, I then downloaded the newest waveshell of their website and it all worked.valley wrote:I believe they should work on PC if you have the most recent waveshell, and you have Realtime Priority Mode disabled.

got 'er working. they're good to go. im a happy guy.
i think i may start using tracktion now. as a matter of fact, i have an instrumental album project coming up. I think ill use tracktion 1 for it. i still have to get the t2. ill wait until i get these things tracked to get the upgrade.
i don't think ill be needing the extra plugs with the box. so ill do the online thing.
good to go. i feel alot better about tracktion now. i can use my kick ass plugs, i can record and edit and i finally got to know my way around the program pretty simply. it's a simple program really.
if it had a way to reverse a clip i'd be happier, but you can't have everything in a simple program. maybe i should ust edit that clip in wavelab and then insert it back into toe edit... thats a good fix eh? anybody doing that?
gotta run. thanks for reading and thatnks for the comments. the new wave shell was what helped.

Or get the FREE Reversinator and drop it on the clip:

downloaded it and we'll see what happens.
im optimistic about the possibilities. does it add much latency to the clip or does it do anything to the clip timing wise?
alright, ill see what this thing can do.

ok i tried it. it seems to be a little different than a straight up reverse of the audio. i didn't get a perfect listen though. im at work on my laptop. had to play it a little low in volume and some customers came in.
it seems to be simulating reverse, kind of like a reverse reverb, but with the audio. not quite sure whats going on.
ill give a little more in depth look in a little while.
thanks for the link.
