Tempo Fluctuations & Count off Problems

Hi,
I am experiancing the following two problems. If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.
Problem #1:
I am merely trying to record an eight bar drum loop. Kick and snare on the first pass, with the addition of high-hat on the second pass. I am unable to even record the high-hat because the tempo starts to fluctuate. I am also a Pro Tools LE 6.9 user, and do not experience any tempo issues when recording. Regarding Tracktion, I am using the Digidesign, DIGI002 Rack for my audio/midi interface.
Therefore, how can I overcome the tempo irregularity when recording?
Problem #2:
I am trying to start my loop with a two-bar count-off, prior to recording. Yes, I have established the two-bar count-off option. No matter what I do, Tracktion starts recording, regardless of the two-bar count-off prior to recording.
Therefore, how can you actually get a two-bar count-off.
Thank you,
Tony

What do you mean by 'tempo fluctuation'? Bad MIDI timing? Latency perhaps? You don't mean the actual tempo value changing do you? (check for tempo / time sig changes if so..)

You can't do a count-in with Loop recording... Only works in regular record or punch-in...
Tempo fluctuation? Are you using an external synth by any chance??

The tempo problems do not involve latency, bad MIDI timing or something similiar. When I am recording, a second pass of a 9 bar loop, the tempo, which is being highlighted with the aid of the click track, tends to fluctuate.

I don't really understand what you mean to be honest. Can you describe this 'fluctuation' in more detail?

Hello,
"use realtime priority mode" was Unchecked. I just enabled it. Possibly, this will help. I will report back after giving this a thorough try.
Thank you,
