I'm using traction 1 and trying to use Ravity and Kontact to do drum stuff but I'm not getting very far.
I can import drum loops but I'd prefer to knock my own together, preferably splitting the kit onto different tracks so I can mix them seperately.
Whats the best way to do this? What other programmes would help here?
Cheers.

You can program drums using Tracktion's midi editor - not that much fun (esp. with ver. 1.x).
If you are on PC, download Stepbeater from a thread in this forum. Check the threads for instructions. This should provide you with all your drum programming needs.

If you want to assign multiple outputs of a VST to different tracks you need to wrap the VST it in a rack filter. Then drag copies of that rack to different tracks and choose your inputs for each rack. I know theres a tutorial floating around with pictures, I'll try to find it for you.burno70 wrote:I'm using traction 1 and trying to use Ravity and Kontact to do drum stuff but I'm not getting very far.

Thanks for ya replies, I don't really want to go down the midi editing route, I thought I would be able to say, record the kick drum live, then put the snare down on a different track etc until I have all the bits I need then I was going to loop them.
I didn't think I would need to use a rack at this stage as I was planning to assign Ravity to multiple tracks...is this not the way to do it?
