Not sure if this would ever happen but it would be amazing to A/B mixes-- for example when I'm recording a client, they want to hear only a few certain tracks, and at a certain volume. I wish I could just switch back and forth like that.... I guess I could do a workaround with different sliders and enabling and disabling them...?

Hmmm. Might be quite useful to a few people. Maybe a way to do it is to be able to capture the settings of the volume/panner filters in each track and store in a mixer setup library for that edit. You could then select any captured mix setup from that library, allowing multiple setups rather than just an A/B. Obviously that's limited though, as you'd want more than just volume/panner A/B.

Sounds simple. Just need to automate the automation. Mr. IIRs prolly could whip you up a rack that does it.

I think this might be covered by the 'snapshots' FR, which is in the list already IIRC.. still, good suggestion Ron!
Of course you can save multiple versions of the same edit, but switching between edits is a bit slow..
At the moment I can't think of any way to do it with a rack that wouldn't be ten times as much hassle as adjusting the parameters manually..

You got questions? We've got racks!
What I do now to sorta simulate it is render a bunch a different mixes, then create a project with all the different mixes. Then A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H the variations using solo/mute, get confused and start tracking all over again!
