Stepbeater

What's New in this version:

* Midi CC Controllers.
* KeyboardShortcuts: (v)elocity (s)hift (g)ate (a)lternate (t)ranspose.
* Mouse Dragging enabled across parameter grid. Previously a click was required per adjustment.
* Template preset loading to enable loading drum maps independently from patterns.
* Double Clicking now switches notes between normal and random notes in the note grid.
* Per Track Random shift.
* Other miscellaneous bug fixes.

Cheers Xing

Small note it still crashes EXT as soon as loaded ?
Shame because id like to start using this instead of Stepchild (Before anyone says, Yes i know it's for T users but i use EXT for all my MIDI because Ts MIDI is a pain to say the least and i've stopped using T2 until it gets fixed)

Thanks Xing, this is really cool, but I think there's a problem with the shift: The random slider and the per note sliders don't seem to have any effect (although the per track shift is working fine). Anyway even without those features this is still great, thanks once again for all the work you've put into it. 8)

The track shift has a lot larger range than the other two do. The reason for this is that when I shift the whole track, I can guarantee that the note ons and note off events stay in order. However, with larger shifts on the individual notes, I can run into cases where the order gets messed up and can create stuck notes and other problems.

:?

what needs to be fixed?

by the way, thanks Xing. 8)
It has some seriously unacceptable GUI latency on my 1.5 Centrino 9800 128meg radeon pro
No problem because i like T1 anyhow (As long as i use EXT for MIDI)
Oh and for the record i have tried pretty much every host available on this hardware with no problems at all (Infact i love this laptop) and no problems from anything except T
I guess the next update will fix these issues but who knows, They certainly dont give us any information, I dont think Mackie quite get the idea of the information super highway yet :)
