To those using Cubase SE, how are you fnding its performance and functionality? Is is stable in XP?
I'm thinking of making a gradual move to SL3 from VST 5.1 and SE gets me onto the upgrade path.
I know that some here may read this and ask why not go straight to SL3 (or SX3), but I'd rather take the slow road and get accustom to the new environment.

What upgrade path? Is there a discount for upgrading from SE to SL/SX?

A similar upgrade path is available in Australia.

stability is not a problem in my experience.relayer2001 wrote:To those using Cubase SE, how are you fnding its performance and functionality? Is is stable in XP?
there can be some incompatibilities when using KXAsio or Asio4ALL - i had some bad experiences with Cubase SE, Soundblaster Live 128 and KXAsio.
But with a good soundcard and ASIO drivers, Cubase SE runs fine.
there's only one "bug" left:
whenever i zoom really close in the track view, Cubase "stands still" and CPU usage goes up very high.
When I open one audio track in the internal wave editor I can zoom as close as I want to. Only when I zoom in the track view / normal sequencer view, I get this behaviour. But that's the only thing and I think it has nothing to do with XP in particular.
