We started a competition at the Synthmaker forums to see who could build a simple Drum Machine because wave support was implemented yesterday.

Would you believe it our own Beno won

To use it at the moment you will need to download Synthmaker and compile it as a VST yourself
I guess a full release shouldn't be far off though

yeah thats cool, is that an animation or some soft of photo shopy process?

Nah, I did it by hand in photo shop. Just took a pick and painted over it colour by colour. Each colour is a differenc layer drawn by hand. Quite easy but time consuming.

And yeah the simple drum machine I made is way basic right now. Hopefully by monday I'll have some improvements too it. Synthmaker is way cool if you haven't tried it yet. Super powerfull and a little bit of a learning curve but you really can do almost anything with it. And the devs are great too!

oh yeah, I'll post the VST as a separate download soon as well so you won't need to build with SM yourself.

Is this cross platform? I admit to knowing nothing about synthmaker. Is it cross platform?

Beno's a Mac user so I would think so.

I just googled Synthmaker and answered my own question. Apparently, it's not cross platform so it stands to reason that this plug is Windows only as well.

I wish these threads would make a distinction. I get my hopes up everytime there's a new vst plug but it seems like nearly all of them exclude mac support.

Could this plug or something like it be integrated (not simply bundled) into a future version of Tracktion so everyone could use it?

SM is not Cross Platform at the moment and neither are it's exported plugs. And believe me, you Mac users aren't missing anything (yet) by not having my plug-in. But the rest of the cool stuff being churned out though will be great.
