Try dropping a blank midi clip on the track. Usually that fools T long enough to render.

Ok, what if you're sneaky and 'freeze' the track, what happens then?

Oh, maybe T is not 'turning on' revisit when it renders. Have you tried it at 1X speed?
If all else fails there's always TapeIt or Recorder.
Or a great tonal memory.

Sorry, Ron, you just got me. Deal with it. Does freezing work? Does the frozen track have audio? And did you try the 1X speed render?

Haven't tried this. I can download and give it a try later if you don't come to a solution. Did you try mandolarian's suggestions? Is revisit a VSTi or does it use ReWire?

hey modulr, youre more familiar with it, can you help me/us ?
plzthx
its about the same thing as setting up stepchild to compose things and not dragging the midi in, and wanting to render whats there.

sorry im going to bump this again because i think theres got to be a way to do this. i know i got it to work on my laptop on the previous t2 version, i cant get it to work now.
youd think itd just at least try to render something, right?
if you guys dont know how to use revisit just try something else that can make sounds without a midi, like step sequencer stuff.

Ok...Stepchild renders ok for me. But that doesn't mean revisit will.
Ron, have you tried those other options:
1) Does freezing the track produce silence too?
2) Have you tried rendering at 1X speed?
What do you do to trigger revisit to start playing? Press a button inside the revisit GUI? If so, how does Tracktion know how to push that button when rendering?
And is the revisit 'play' button available as a Tracktion automation parameter?
Answer these skill-testing questions and you may qualify for even more exciting troubleshooting...

freezing is silence. weird. when i press play in tracktion it plays. also theres a manual key, f5, f6 or f7 to play it without tracktion. its not a part of automation.
oops ok rendering at 1x works, but it worked at 2x on my laptop occasionally on the older version.
after rendering, revisit doesnt respond to anything unless i disable the rack and enable it, and then use tracktion to play back again.
anything else we can try?

Hell, yeah. We should try a nice vino in celebration in the success of 1X rendering!!!
Isn't revisit still in the beta stage? You might want to let them know about this issue between T and revisit locking up after render.
Did this lockup occur in the previous T release? If not you might want to let Beno know that something untoward has happened.
And just to satisfy my curiosity what happens if you put revisit in track directly outside of a rack? Does it still spurt silence at render, I wonder....Something to try. Maybe something in the racks won't let revisit make a racket now.
