Hey guys,
Is there a way to use something like Trollo, which is a VST MIDI virtual keyboard program which assigns MIDI notes to your computer keyboard, and also record MIDI in T2? I'd like to use it on my laptop while I do some travelling, but I can't figure out how to record MIDI with it since it's not the same as having the MIDI input assigned to the track (on the left side), and without that active, T2 doesn't seem to want to record any MIDI notes on the piano roll. Is there any kind of routing that will allow the notes triggered by the VST keyboard to be recorded on a piano roll (on another track would be fine).
Thanks much!
Dave

I'm not a T2 user, but I suspect you can run Trollo in another host and route its output into T2 via a virtual MIDI cable (Hubi's MIDI Loopback Device, Midiox's Midi Yoke, or Maple Virtual Midi Cable).
I tend to do a similar thing, but I use Bidule's built in keyboard/mouse/HID to MIDI device instead of using Trollo.

That's interesting, thanks. I'm leaving tomorrow, though, so that option will have to be for the future.allofdrab wrote:I'm not a T2 user, but I suspect you can run Trollo in another host and route its output into T2 via a virtual MIDI cable (Hubi's MIDI Loopback Device, Midiox's Midi Yoke, or Maple Virtual Midi Cable).

Valley's Mkey is great for this.Frippertronix wrote:Hey guys,

To record either MKey, or Trollo you need MIDI OX, which allows you to create a virtual MIDI device that can route to Trakction's inputs.
